PARK CYCLE TRACK.

NOT FOR USE UNTIL NEXT YEAR. REPAIRS BEING CARRIED OUT. After discussion with a deputation from the Athletic Association concerning the cycle track at the Park, the Park Committee decided that no cycle training be allowed on the Oval before December 31, and that the matter would then be reviewed by the committee. A recommendation to that effect was made to the Masterton Borough Council at its meeting last night. Councillors A. Rippon and T. Jenkins took exception to the track being closed to cyclists who desired to train. Councillor H. M. Peacock said the sports representatives who waited on the committee had given him to understand that they were putting down a special training track in the Cameroif Memorial Park so that the Park track could be placed in order. Satisfaction was expressed by the opposing councillors upon hearing the explanation.
