“THE ENCHANTED ROSE."
TO-NIGHT’S ATTRACTION AT PARISH HALL OPERETTA BY ST. MATTHEW’S SCHOOL. “The Enchanted Bose,” the operetta which pupils of the St. Matthew’s Collegiate School for Girls have been painstakingly rehearsing for somo time past, will be produced this evening at St. Matthew’s Parish Hall. The theme is woven around a delightful fairy story, and the children have been well prepared in the solos, duets, trios, recitative and choruses, of which the operetta consists. The choruses should be a feature of the production, as particular attention has been paid to this important part of “The Enchanted Rose.” The cast has been carefully selected and no pains spared in the selection of scenery and the costumes. “The Enchanted Rose” is a different form of school entertainment than is usually the case, and the teachers responsible for its production are to be congratulated on their enterprise. It is confidently expected that the entertainment will receive the support it merits from the public. Reservations of seats may be made at the school.
