FEILDING SALE.
HIGH PRICES FOR GOOD COW’S. FEILDING, August 9. There was an exceptionally heavy yarding of dairy stock to-day, good heifers and cows sailing well at high priced, though inferior lines were not nought. Fat cattle brought good prices, store cattle especially. Beef lines were in good demand and fat sheep sold at late rates. There was a good demai d for store sheep, especially hoggets. Fat lambs b.f. 20/ to 28/4, fat ewes 21/6 to 28/6, fat wethers, 34/4 to 39/. Stores: four and five year ewes r.w. S.D. 22/; four year ewes r.w. R., 30/10; empty ewes 16/; ewe hoggets 25/2 to 30/9; wether hoggets 20/1 to 27/1. Dairy cattle. Springing heifers (good) £lO/5 to £l4/15; inferior £5 to £B/10; good spg. cows to £l2; inferior averaged £7. Store cattle: steers, £2/12/6; fwd. cows, to £5/7; Jersey P.A. cross cows, £3/12/6 to £5 2/6; Jersey cows £4/12/6; Jersey heifers £5/2/6; black cows £4/5 to £4/10; yearling bulls, 22/6; yearling heifers, £3/4 to £4/2/6; s.h. cows £4/15; fat bullocks £l2; fat Hereford steers, £7 7/6; fat heifers, £6/2/6 to £ll/10; fat cows £5/10 to £B/10.—(P.A.)
