BOY ELECTROCUTED.

ACCIDENT IN GARAGE. AUCKLAND, August 7. While holding an electric light cord extension, Arnold Kelleher, aged 15, son of D. Kelleher, of the City Fire Brigade, was electrocuted to-night. It ii assumed that a short circuit occurred in the socket carrying the lamp and that the current, which was of 230 volts passed through his -body into the damp ground of the garage on which he was standing. The boy was holding the lamp over a motor car engine, when he suddenly reeled and collapsed. Another boy with him thought he had fainted, and went to his assistance, but also received a shock. A doctor was summoned but the boy was dead.—(P.A.)
