A BIG OUTPUT.

MASTERTON DAIRY COMPANY’S YKAB. HIGH GRADING STANDARD. A meeting of the directors of the Miasterton Co-operative Dairy Company yesterday was presided over by Mr. W. H. Buick, in the absence of the chairman (Mr. J. C. Ewington) from whom an apology for absence was received. . It was reported that the butter manufactured for the past reason amounted to 734 tons, 6 cwt., an increase of 28 tons 10 cwt. over the previous year. The butter for the season was graded: 99.567 per cent, finest; .404 per cent., first; .209, second. Local sales for the past mo-nth were a record for the company. They amounted to 63,334 lbs., an increase of 26,3341b5. over the previous month. The greater part of this butter was in pats. All the machinery has been overhauled and is in readiness for the new season, which in fact has already opened up well, the supply being ahead of this time last year, with several inquiries from new herds. During the winter, forty new suppliers joined up with the company.

To date the company has paid out to suppliers over Is 5d net per lb. of butterfat for the past season and the accounts for the season, owing to some butter being still unsold, are not yot finalised. The following returns of final payments for the season by nine cooperative dairy companies in the Auckland Province were cited for purpose of comparison:— New Zealand: Output, 26,072 tons; pavments per lb butterfat, l-5.45d; over-run 20.67; Cambridge, 600 tons, l/5.86d, 21.85; Raglan, 266 tons, l/5.47d, 21.06; Morrinsville, 876 tons, l/5.46d, 20.87; Te Awamutu 496 tons, l/5.53d, 21.00; Tauranga, 756 tons, l/5.50d, 20.47; Kaipara, 1211 tons, l/5.55d, 20.56; Northern Wairoa, 1984 tons, 1/5.70d, 22.43; Ruawai, 492 tons, 1/5.30d, 20.90; Hikurangi, 1122 tons, 1/5.14, ’22.18.
