Owen Evans, aged 19, described by the police as a lone wolf, who stole £6OOO worth of property from a hundred houses in Sydney suburbs, was to-day sentenced to two year’s gaol. Afterwards he is to be deported to England, from where he came. Evans told the judge that he was brought up among thieves and he never had a chance to make good.—(Australian Press Association.)
