THE AUCKLAND-WAIRARAPA MATCH. ANTICIPATIONS OF GOOD CONTEST ON SATURDAY. At the Carterton Showgrounds on Saturday next, the Wairarapa Rugby representatives, holders of the Ranfurly Shield, will be called upon to defend the coveted trophy against a redoubtable Auckland combination, captained by the brilliant All Black three-quarter •‘Freddy” Lucas. The game, provided Mhe weather conditions are satisfactory, should provide the very champagne of IBugby. Each team possesses an exceptionally fast and snre set of backs, ."whose individual play is capable of Vising at times to brilliancy. The Waikarapa pack should prove, if anything, ■omewhat superior to that of the (visitors and this slight advantage will mo doubt tcH in the elosing stages of the game, as was the ease in the Waikarapa —Hawke’s Bay match. The Anekland team is the same, except for the inelnsion of the 1920 All Black, L. Hook, as that which defeated Waikato by 30 to nil last Saturday.
