CHURCH OF THE EPIPHANY ANNUAL MEETING. NUCLEUS OF VICARAGE FUND. The annual meeting of the Church of the Epiphany jvas held in the Church Hall on Tuesday night, the Vicar of Ht Matthew’s Parish, the Rev. W. Bullock presiding. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—Committee, Mesdames F. Whitton, J. G. Miller, Henson, Miss Pearce, Messrs. A. T. Jackson, J. H. Minton, F. Whitton, Henson, Brett, Heath, Nichol and C. Braggins; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. M. Boddington. ANNUAL REPORT. In his annual report, the Rev. E. McLevio said that £285 3s Id. had been raised by that part of the parish during the year. Of this amount £52 17s 7d was given in general offertories, £l3 8a 5d in special offertories, £4l 3s in subscriptions .and £155 9s s*l was raised by the Ladies’ Guild. As a result of the efforts of the Ladies’ Guild the sum of £lOO (£B4 Ils lOd of which was raised at the Garden Party held in November lart) had been invested as the nucleus of a Vicarage Fund for Kuripuni. Up to the end of the financial year of the Board of Missions, June 30, the sum of £2O was given for this purpose, being contributed as follows: —-Sunday School children £5, special Lenten collection £9 10s 10d, Ladies’ Gbild £1 8a 2d, missionary fellowship £3 12a. “We are grateful to Mrs. Johns, senr., for presenting three sacred pictures to hang in the Church,” the report continued, “also to an anonymous donor who gave a picture as a thankoffering. An order has been given for an ewer. This should be in place in the near future. We are grateful to Mrs dtcnnells for presenting the handsome font in the Church. There are many to whom our thanks are due for faithful and willing service rendered throughout the year. Special mention should be made of the Ladies’ Guild, particularly to the indefatigable efforts of Mrs. Whitton, also Mrs. Cave, for holding the garden party at her residence; to the ladies responsible for cleaning the church and attending to the flowers in the sanctuary, Mesdames Jackson, Liidennan, Edwards, Nesbit, and Henson, the members of the committee for Sunday Duties, Mrs. Chennells and her band of Sunday School teachers. Miss Ash well for care of altar linen. Mr. Nichol for mending seats in the church and hall. Miss Selby for coming to our assistance at the organ on many occasions; to Mrs. Perry, to Mr. lorns for carrying out many duties, and to all who have forwarded the work of the church.” The question of improving the grounds of the Church was Hiscuased. Several proposals wore subm tted and it was decided to carry out ‘op-dress-ing, planting, path format'm and other work. .
