JJOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to and in exercise of. the powers conferred on it by “The Counties Act, 1920,” and “The Rating Act 1925,” and of all other powers in that behalf enabling it, the Masterton Connty Council intends at an ordinary meeting of the said Council to be hold in the Council Chambers, Chapel Street, Masterton, on TUESDAY, the 9th day of JULY, 1929, at 2 p.m., to make and levy the following Rates, for the year commenced on the Ist day of April, 1929, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1930: — GENERAL RATES. A GENERAL RATE under Sections 120 and 121 of "The Counties Act, 1920,” on the Capital Rateable Value of all Rateable Property appearing in the Valuation Rolls of the SIX respective Ridings of the County as follows: IN THE OPAKI RIDING.—A General Rate of One Penny and One-Six-teenth of One Penny (1 l-16d.) in the pound sterling. IN THE RANGITUMAU RIDING. A General Rate of One Penny (Id.) in the Pound Sterling. IN THE UPPER TAUERU RIDING.—A General Rate of One Penny (Id.) in the Pound Sterling. IN THE TE WHITE RIDING.—A General Rate of Seven-Eighths of One Penny (Jd.) in the Pound Sterling. IN THE URITI RIDING.—A General Rate of One Penny and Seven-Six-teenths of One Penny (1 7-16 d.) in the Pound Sterling. IN THE WAINUIORU RIDING.—A General Rate of One Penny (id.) in the Pound Sterling. HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID RATE. A RATE under the provisions of Section 52 of “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926,” of OneSeventh of One Penny (l-7d.) in the Pound Sterling on the Capital Rateable Value of all Rateable Property in the County of Masterton, such Rate being required to meet the Contributions payable by the Council to the Wairarapa Hospital Board. SEPARATE RATES. ALSO under the provisions of “The Water Supply Act, 1408,” and Amendments thereto to make and levy Separate Rates for the' Maintenance of Water Races within the respective Water Race Districts as follows:— A SEPARATE RATE OF ONE PENNY (Id.) in the Pound Sterling on the Capital Rateable Value of all Rateable Property within the Opaki Water Supply Separate Rating District. A SEPARATE RATE OF ONE HALF OF ONE PENNY (Jd.) in the Pound Sterling on the Capital. Rateable Value of all Rateable Property within the Upper Plain Water Supply Separate Rating District. A SEPARATE RATE OF SEVENTENTHS OF ONE PENNY (7-10 d. in the Pound Sterling on the Capital Rateable Value of all ' Rateable Property within the Te Ore Ore Water Supply Separate Rating District. SPECIAL RATES. ALSO under the provisions of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” to collect so much as is required of each of the ANNUAL RECURRING SPECIAL RATES levied on the Capital Rateable Value of all Rateable Property within the several Special Rating Districts of the County of Masterton to provide for the Annual Charges on the Loans raised in the said Districts. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY further given that all such Rates shall become payable in one sum at the County Office. Chapel Street. Masterton, on the 23rd day of July, 1929. PURSANT to a Resolution of the Masterton County Council, a REBATE OF 5 PER CENT, will be allowed off the GENERAL RATE if paid on or before THURSDAY, THE Bth DAY OF AUGUST, 1929.
