MINIATURE RIFLES.
TUHIRANGI v. FEATHERSTON
("The Age” Special.) There was a large attendance at the Memorial Hall, Pirinoa, on Saturday night, when the newly-formed Tuhirangi Miniature Rifle Club tried conclusions with the redoubtable Featherston Club, and although defeated by a substantial margin, the local team was by no means disgraced, and on the whole shot remarkably well. Barclay, for the visitors, shot brilliantly and was most unlucky in not obtaining a possible. W. Linton, with 96, waa the highest scorer for the local team. The scores were as follow:— Featherston. —S. Barclay, 99; C. J. Nix, 98; A. Viles, W. Johnson, D. Benton, L. G. Benton, 97; A. Hodder. 96; K. McKenzie, G. Bowring, 94; H. Hodder, 91; total, 960.
