VISIT BY FARMERS.

PROPOSAL MADE AT A. & P. SOCIETY. TO VIEW MASSEY COLLEGE. A suggestion to organise a visit of Wairarapa farmers to Palmerston North to view the Massey College and the work the Agricultural -Society was doing was made at yesterday’s meeting of the Masterton A. and P. Society by Mr G. H. Perry. Mr Perry stated that he understood there were some very interesting exhibits there. Tests were being carried out of seeds from different parts of New Zealand. If a special train were arranged for, Mr. Perry stated, he was sure it would be patronised and the day would be a most profitable one.' He would like to see the society act in. the direction indicated. Other members warmly -supported Mr. Perry’s suggestion and 1 it was decided that Messrs R. J. Barton and G. H. Perry should confer with the president's of the Wairarapa P. and A. Society and of the Farmers' Union to seek their co-operation in the scheme.
