Mr. Peter Fealick, for many yeans a resident of South Carterton, died in the Buchanan Home, Greytown, oa Saturday The deceased who was 98 years of age, had for a number of years been an inmate of Carter’s Home. MAURICEVILLE WEST. (“The Age” Special.) The Mauriceville ' West Ladieia’ Hockey Club held its annual meeting on Friday night. There was a good attendance. It was decided to eater one senior team in the competitions. A silver cup, to bo called “The Kia To* Challenge Cup,” was presented to the club by enthusiastic supporters. Arrangements were made for the opening dance to be hold on April 11. The following officers were elected:—Patron, Mr. V. K. Lemberg; president, Mr. F. Jennings; committee, secretary, Miss E. M. Mortensen, Mrs. H. Godden, Mrs BL Freeman and Mr. C. Seymour; delegates, Messrs. W. H. Bird and H. Freeman. It was decided to hold the firrt* practice on Saturday, April 6. The quarterly meeting of Court Kopuaranga, No. 7507, was held on Saturday night, Bro. H. C. Mortensen presiding over an attendance of 18 members. The secretary (Bro. T. Knight) gave an interesting report on having attended the conference held in Wellington on February 8. No members were reported on the sick list. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hood, Mauriceville, are spending a holiday in New Plymouth. The men’s hoekey club are holding their annual meeting to-night. MAURICEVILLE. (“The Age” Special.) Harvest thanksgiving services were held here on Sunday. They were largely attended. The final meeting of the school committee was held on Saturday night.
