A storm centre west south-west of ■Suva is travelling in a south-easterly ; direction. The barometer is 28.963 and I the wind north by west. The Clan |Mackinlay is hove to ninety miles west-nor’-west of Cape Washington, Kadavu. The steamer Moeraki returned to port after a search for a missing cutter. She did not see the survivors of the cutter, which was lost outside the reef this morning. The cutter has not been identified.—(Australian Press Association.)
