HOSTILITY OF POLISH PRESS LITHUANIA’S POSITION (Received Sunday, 5.5 p.m ) BERLIN, January 5l The Polish Press denounces the Soviet Pact proposal as a hypocritical intrigue, merely intended to support the Soviet universal disarmament project launched at Geneva. It is believed that the unanimous hostility of the Press will be a death blow to Lithuania’s reported acceptance. The Polish view is tjiat the Soviet is actuated from a fear of warfare on the western borders.—(Australian. Press Association.)
