AMATEUR ATHLETICS.
ELECTRIC LIGHT -MEETING AT CARTERTON
The first electric light sports meeting under the auspices of the Carter ton Amateur Athletic Club will be held tomorrow evening on the Showground®, Carterton. The attractive programme which has been arranged should provids the public with a good night’s enrtcrtainment. Tom Oakley, the champion cyclist, will be competing, and other Master* on competitors will be .n attendance in full force. It is hoped to have a strong team from Wellington, which will add considerable interest to *he meeting. A tricycle race for children will be held, but unless there are six startens, this event will not be run. Owners of tricycles should therefore scout around and get a large entry for the race. (The handicaps for the meeting appear on page 7.)
