LONDON NIGHT CLUBS.
NEW POLICE CHIEF ACTIVE , LONDON, November 20. Lord Byng's initial act as Metropolitan, Police Commissioner is to de clare war on the London night clubs. The “Daily Express” understands that Lord Byng expressed amazement at the looseness prevailing. It is significant that many night clubs where drinking and gambling continued till daybreak have already suddenly closed.—(Australian Press Association.)
