FINAL OFFICIAL FIGURES. COMPARISON WITH 1925. The official count of votes in last week’s poll on the local liquor issue in the Masterton electorate was completed yesterday. The following table gives a comparison of the voting with that of the 1925 poll:— 1925 1928 Bestoration .. .. 3671 4523 No-license 4058 4047 The total valid votes cast last week numbered 8570, compared with 7729 in 1925. As compared with the 1925 figures, last week’s restoration vote increased by 852 and the no-lieense vote decreased by 11. The restoration vote fell short of the required three-fifths by 967 in 1925 and by 619 last week.
