A GOOD YEAR.

MASTERTON GOLF CLUB ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Masterton Golf Club was held last evening, the president (Mr. H. G. Williams) presiding over a very large attendance of members of both sexes. The secretary, Mr. D. T. Herbert, read the treasurer’s report, which showed a credit balance of £236 18s. 2d. as against £52 last year. • A vote of thanks was passed to the secretary for the excellent way in which he carried out his duties during the season. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. H. G. Williams (re-elected); vice-presidents, Messrs. W. Kebbell and G. C. Williams (re-elected); club captain, Mr. T. H. Horton (last year's captain, Mr. H. P. Hugo was not available for re-elec-tion); committee, Messrs. H. R. Beetham, A. Caselberg, H. E. Hart, J. Jameson, H. G. Moser, W. H. Robieson (reelected), and H. P. Hugo; hon. secretary, Mr. D. T. Herbert (re-elected); hon. treasurer, Mr. R. McKenzie; hon. auditor, Mr. G. W. Sellar (re-elected); ladies’ president, Mrs. H. G. Williams (re-elected); ladies’ vice-president, Mrs Norman James; ladies' committee, Mesdames A. C. Feast, B. P. Perry, Guy Williams, Watt, Maitland, H. V. Haise and Misses A. Perry and L. Bellis; ladies’ captain, Mrs. P. Gordon; ladies’ secretary, Miss Robieson. Messrs. C. M. Bowden and James Millar were elected as new members.

The meeting closed with a hearty vote of thanks to the chairman.
