MASTERTON SALE Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having submitted a small entry of sheep to the usual attendance of buyers. Competition was keen, with prices oin a par with recent sales, a clearance being effected as follows: F.M. ewes r.w. S.D. Tams, 36s Id to 36s 6d; cull ewes r.w. S.D. rams, 26s> 6d. The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Distributing Co.) Ltd., report on their usual weekly sale as follows: We yarded 300 sheep and 86 head of cattle to a small attendance, but were successful in disposing of the whole yarding with the exception of 7 cattle. We had an entry of 30 cows and leifers from Mr. W. Douglas, of Langdaio, and considering the wet -day and -some very small heifers, these made the satisfactory average of £7 14s. We quote as follows: 116 maiden 4-th ewes, 31s Id; 40 do small, 29s Id; 32 wether hoggets’ 29s 6d; 40 fat maiden e-wes, 34s 6d; 22 fat wethers, 38s; 9 fat ewes, 335. Cattle: Fat cows, £7 9s to £8 15s; 2-yr steers, £6 15s; 3-year steers, £8; store cows, £4, £5 to £5 9s; yearling dairy heifers, £3 7 S 6d to £3 10s; springing cows, £lO, £lO 10s to £ll 10s; K-pteon-ber calvers, £7„ £8 to £9'los; 0.-to’ber 1^ rs > £6 to £7 10s; springing heifers £6 15s, £7 ss, £8 15s to £9 10s; heifers, late ealvers, £5 2s 6d to £7; Jersey bulls, £5 15s to £lO 10s.
