WAIBABAPA TEAM TO MEET MARLBOROUGH. SATURDAY’S CONTEST. The following Wairarapa Rugby team has been selected to defend the RanfUrly Shield against Marlborough, at Carterton, on Saturday Full-b ack. —Roach. Three-quarters.—R. Jury, C. Stringfellow, W. Yates. Five-eighths.—R. Sharp, R. Cundy. . .Half.—l. Hart. Wing-forward.—J. Donald (captain). Forwards.—Hookers, Q. Donald, J. Walker; lock, K. Fairbrother; sides, M. McGregor, J. Le Quesne; back row, M. Parker, W. Beside. Reserves.—Forwards: P. Ward and W. Ussher. Backs: J. Denby, P. Jury and G. Booth. All players are to assemble at the Marquis Hotel, Carterton, at noon on the day of the match. Of the names submitted to the Marlborough Union, Mr. H. J. McKenzie was selected to act as referee. The changes in the team are as follow: —Sharp replaces Cooke; J. Donald, M. Parker, who has been placed in the scrum; J. Walker, K. Reid, as hooker; J. Le Quesne, S. Willoughby, on the side of the scrum; and K. Fainbrother, M. Willoughby as lock. Cooke, Reid, 8. •and M. Willoughby leave for Christchurch to-morrow, to play in the North v. South match.
