TRUST LANDS TRUST.

MONTHLY MEETING HELD Mr. G. Selby (chairman) presided at the monthly meeting of the Masterton Trust Lands Trust, held last evening. Also present were Messrs T. Wagg, E. G. Eton, D. Caselberg, R. Kraha-gen, W. H. Jackson, J. M. Coradine andi D. M. Douglas. The Registrar of the Victoria University College wrote advising that the students who have been granted matriculation grants are attending Victoria (College. A letter was received) from the Wairarapa Secondary Education Board accepting the new lease of the Masterton Technical School site and agreeing to l the new clauses embodied therein. The Masterton Borough Council wrote accepting the new lease of the Dixon Street Baths for 21 years on the same terms and conditions as the last lease.

Mr. C. G. Munro wrote stating that he had accepted Mr C. H. Spiers’s tender of £65 3s for papering and painting a Trust bulding, and that the work was being carried out. Other repairs to the building are to be proceeded with. It was deffded to accept the tender at £l2 17s 6d of Messrs Jones and Joyce for improvements to be mr.de to the roof of the rear portion of the Masterton Drill Hall.

The application of the District Schools’ Library Committee for payment of the £25 allocated for the year wrs granted.

The treasurer reported a debit balance of £1133 la 2d. Kents received for the month totalled £415 Ho sd.
