LAST DAY AT AUCKLAND. avin for glendowie; AUCKLAND, June 6. The Auckland Racing Club’s steeplechase meeting concluded to-day in dull weather. There was a large attendance. The track was in better order than on the earlier days of the meeting. The totalisator handled £62,584 10s., compared with £59,943 10s. on the third day last year, an increase of £2641. For the meeting the total was £231,438 compared with £226,179, an increase of £5259. Results: —

Time, 6min 3 3-ssec. Beau Cavalier and Maunga fell.
Campbell Hurdles, 2m.—3, Peneus (A. McDonald), 1; 4, Glen Canny, 2. The only other starters, 1, Aberfeldy and 2, Mia Bella, fell at the first fence. Thereafter it was a procession, with Peneus in the lead. Glencanny fell at fhe second-last fence and last fence, but was remounted to win second money. Time, 3min 56 2-£sec.

The . totalisator handled £22,957 10s. for the day, compared with £27,985 10s. on the third day last year, making a total for the meeting of £75,039 10s., compared with £82,572 10s. last year. Eric Connolly, a prominent racehorse owner, was disqualified for twelve months as a result of the inconsistent
