RATE NOTICE. yOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is the intention . ; of the Council at a Meeting to be held in the Council Chambers, Martinborough, on FRIDAY, the 15th June, under the provisions of Section 120 of the “Counties Act, 1920,” and amendments thereto, to make and LEVY a GENERAL RATE of one and one-half-penny (lid) in the pound sterling on the unimproved value of all rateable properties appearing in the Valuation Rolls of the nine respective Ridings of the County. ALSO an EXTRA GENERAL RATE of One Fourth of One Penny (Jd) in the Pound sterling on the unimproved Value of all Rateable Properties appearing in the Valuation Roll of the Otaraia Riding. AJLSO under the provisions of Section 52 of “The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926,” to make and levy a HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID RATE of one-fourth of one penny (|d) in the Pound sterling on the Unimproved Value of all Rateable Properties appearing in the Valuation Rolls of the nine respective Ridings of the County. ALSO under the provisions of “The Water Supply Act, 1908,” and amendments thereto, to make and levy SEPARATE RATES for the maintenance of Water Races within the respective Water Race Districts as follows:— A SEPARATE RATE of One Halfpenny (jd) in the pound sterling on the Unimproved Value of all the rateable Properties within the Moroa Water Raeo Separate. Rating District. A SEPARATE RATE, of One and Five-eighths of a Penny (IJd) in the Pound sterling on the Unimproved V alue of all Rateable Properties within the Dry River Water Race Separate Rating District. A SEPARATE RATE of Threefourths of One Penny (Jd) in the Pound sterling on the Unimproved } alue of all Rateable Properties within the Featherston-Longwood Water Race Separate Rating District, including the Tauhercnikau sub-division thereof. ALSO, under the provisions of the “Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” and amendments thereto, to collect the annual recurring interest rates within the several Special Rating Districts of the County. SUCH RATES to be for the period commencing on the Ist day of April, 1928, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1929, and to be due and payable in one sum on the 22nd day of June, 1928, at the Office of the Council, Martinborough. THE VALUATION ROLLS are now open for inspection during office hours. PURSUANT to Section 64 of “Tho Rating Amendment Act, 1925,” a discount of 5 per centum will be allowed the GENERAL and HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID RATES if the demand is paid in full within 30 days of date thereon.
