NEW FURS FOR OLD.
A WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY. During their recent visit to London, Madame and Mr. Menere, the noted fur merchants, had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Kohn, head of the British Fur Renovating Co., who have over 150 branches in England. The business of this firm is the matching of furs for renovations to clients’ garments. During a long conversation, Mr. Kohn explained that they had the greatest difficulty sometimes in getting skins sufficiently faded and worn to match the garment to be renovated, and commissioned Madame and Mr. Menere to buy tor them in New Zealand as many old fur coats as they could possibly secure and send them to London. To any ladv who possesses an old or worn coat this is a wonderful opportunity. An a’llowance, in many cases more than the oriirof’ilST' bC allowed aa a H dassfs of old fur coats, the price being deducted from a new one. On one old coat yesterday £49 was allowed. Madam© Menere’s display is at present beta* held in the Public Trust Building, and is worth going a very long way to see Hours, 10 a.m. to 1 p. m . fnd
