Masterton.— Mr. R. Brown reported at 9 a.m. yesterday:—Barograph, 30.05. Shade temperature, maximum 63.8, minimum 33.0; terrestrial, 26.4. Bright sunshine, Bhrs 12minutes. The Government Meteorologist (Dr. E. Kidson) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday:—Evening Forecast. —Tho anticyclone centre has moved southwards, and is now east of Hobart. The forecast is for moderate to strong west to south winds, rough seas south of Castlepoint, and elsewhere moderate; fresh southerly winds and rather rough seas in tho Eastern Tasman Sea; mainly fair but with scattered showers chiefly in North Auckland and the coastal districts of the South Island; many frosts in Canterbury and the southern pro-Lighting-up time—s. 6 p.m.
