Boddington re- . ports that 15 points of rain were reg- . isteTod at 'Solway for the 24 hours up till 9 o’clock on Tuesday morning, and 8 points were registered for .the 24 hours up till 9 o ’clock yesterday moitaday. / The following official forecast was issued last evening by the Government Meteorologist: Chiefly fair to cloudy weather, but changeable with some showers in the West Coast districts , South of Cape Egmont and in Otago, ' moderate and variable winds north of New Plymouth and Napier; elsewhere moderate to strong- westerly to southwesterly, squally at time about Cook and Fcuveaux Straits.
