BEAUFORT STEEPLECHASE TO PASSIN’ THROUGH. NADARINO BEATS SPRINTERS. MAUNGA FALLS AGAIN. Wharncliffe, the southern hurdler, started a warm favourite yesterday, and decisively won the National Hurdles, thereby completing the second leg of the favourite double for the steeples and hurdles. Passin’ Through easily won the Beaufort Steeplechase, In which Maunga again tell. Nadarino scored a surprise victory in the six furlongs race. CHRISTCHURCH, August 11. The second day’s racing of the Canterbury Jockey Club winter meeting was held to-day in beautiful weather. There had been steady rain for several 1 hours the previous night and the track was heavy.
