MASTERTON SALE. ! Tho N.Z. Farmers’ Cb-operative Distributing Co., Ltd., report: —We held our weekly stock sale at Masterton on Wednesday, when we offered 1000 sheep to a small attendance. Although we did not sell the whole yarding, we have to report that good ewes in lamb to S.D. ranis sc/Id at advanced rates. Wo quote: Four and 5-year ewes, in lamb to S.D., 22/4, 4-tooth do. 25/6, aged ewes do. 16/-, 2-tooth wethers 19/9, fat we th ci’s 22/10. CLEARING SALE. The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Distributing Co., Ltd., report Having hold a clearing sale yesterday on account of Mr. J. H. Billington. There was a large attendance. Cows met with keen competition and were sold at the following prices: Calvers, due August and September, £4 10/- to £8; cows in milk and late calvers, £2 10/- to £5; springing cows and cows just in, £8 to £ll. Sundries: Hay mower, £18; nay rake, £6; saw bench, £6 5/-; pony, £l6. Other sundries made good prices. JOHNSONVILLE SALE. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report as fallows on the Johnsonville sale: A good yarding Of sheep and a fair yarding of bullocks and vealers came forward. There was a good attendance of butchers and bidding was brisk throughout, all classes of stock selling in advance of previous week’s quotations. Beef sold very freely. We quote: Bullocks, £lO to £l3 5/; cows, light, £3 10/ to £5; vealers, 35/ to £3; wethers. 24/10 to 25/7; ewes, heavy, 19/3; others, 14/7 to 16/7; lambs, 21/ to 24/.
