Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents dated March 5: Frozen meat quotations (prices on a “delivered” basis, i.e. including storage charges cartage, tolls, etc): — Down lambs 28/42 9d. per lb.; best North Island 28/42 94d. per lb; ordinary North Island 28/42 9£d.; second quality lambs B?>d.;.best North Island wether sheep 48/64 6£d.; 64/72 5Jd.; ordinary 48/64 6Jd. ‘North Island ewes 48/64 3 7-Bd.; 64/72 31d. New Zealand prime ox beef 160/220 3}d. - The market for lamb is very weak with little demand, consequently these quotations arc only nominal. The market is influenced by heavy arrivals of very cheap chilled beef. DAIRY PRODUCE. Dalgety and Company Limited report having received the following cablegram from their London house dated March 3: Butter: Market slow. We quote Danish 186 s. (188 s. to 1905)., New Zealand finest 168 s. (1685.), first grade 1665. (1665.). Australian finest unsalted 1625. to 1665. (1665. to 1685.), salted 1565. to 160 s. (1625. to 1645.). Second hand sellers of New Zealand finest 160 s. to 1645.

Cheese: New Zealand market dull. Canadian market quiet. We quote New Zealand finest white 925. (925.), coloured 925. (925.), first grade white and coloured 91s. (915.), spot price for Canadian white and coloured 90s. to 100 s. (945. to 100 s.), e.i.f. price fdr Canadian 89s. Last week’s quotations shown in parentheses.
