MARTINBOROUGH SALE. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on the above sale as follows: A medium yarding of steep was submi'tted to a fair attendance of buyers. Competition was on a par with recent- sales, the bulk of the yarding being disposed of at the following prices: 72K 5-year Romney skinned ewes, 14/7 to 15/3; 288 5-year Lincoln skinned ewes, 14/; cull lambs, 11/; store cqjvs, 30/; forward cows, £2 17/6. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report: We offered a yarding of approximately 900 sheep to a fair attendance of buyers. Our entry comprised chiefly 2-th wethers and medium quality w.f. lambs, which met with verp good competition. Mixed aged ewes were hard to quit. We made a total clearance at the following prices: 2-th wethers (good), 22/1; medium do., 17/3; w.f. lambs (small), 11/10 to 12/8; 4 and 5 year ewes, 15/; 2-th ewes (small) 18/; m.a. Southdown rams, 4 to 6 gns.; 1- Romney Tams, 2 gns. MASTERTON SALE. The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report: We submitted a full yarding of sheep to a large attendance of buyers. We had a total clearance under the hammer, at prices on a par with recent sales. 2- ewes, 21/ to 23/2; good 4 and 6-th ewes, 27/6; 4-year ewes, 18/ to 20/; 5-year ewes, 13/3, 14/, 14/6, 15/ to 15/8; forward ewes, 9/9, 10/9 to 11/6; aged ewes, 5/ to 6/6; w.f. shorn lambs, 11/ to 13/8; b.f. lambs, 14/2; cull lambs, 7/, 7/7 to 9/9.
