TWO MEN FINED. ALLEGED WEALTHY PRINCIPAL’S AGENTS. WELLINGTON, March 3. Two men, alleged by the police to be acting for a wealthy principal, were to-day fined £5O each, in default three months' imprisonment, by Magistrate Salmon. William Thomas Richardson, aged 35, canvasser, admitted carrying on business as a bookmaker and the other, John James Blaek, a bootmaker, aged' 49, pleaded guilty to keeping a common gaming house.—(P.A.).
