Very favourable accounts are given of the outlook in farming industry in the Timaru and Geraldine districts. As a result of mild weather experienced during the winter months no shortage of feed has been experienced, and with good supplies of roots available flocks are reported to have come through the winter in excellent condition. The absence of heavy rains has resulted in the wool retaining a good yolk, and it is generally consideredthat very heavy clips will be shorn throughout the district. Similar reports have been received from the Rangitata district, and it is evident that a splendid season in this respect will be experienced throughout the district.
