The House of Representatives made good progress with Government Bills, the following being put through Committee without important amendment: “Land and Income Tax Amendment Bill (Mr Downie Stewart), Samoa Amendment Bill (Mr Nosworthy), Scenery Preservation Amendment Bill (Mr McLeod), Cook Islands Amendment Bill (Sir Maui Pomare), Cinematograph Film Censorship Amendment Bill (Mr Bollard), Cemeteries Amendment Bill.

The third reading stage of these measures followed.
