WINNER OF ART UNION PRIZE. A ONE-ARMED FARMER. INGLEWOOD, August 12.—L. J. Hunter, the Waitui winner of the £4OOO Independence Art Union, is a returned soldier fanner. During the war he lost his left arm from the shoulder. The windfall is very acceptable.—(PA..)
For the third prize of £lOO, six draws had to be made from the marbles, as the first five numbers corresponded to the numbers of the tickets that had not betin sold.
