The market for lamb is steady, with a hardening tendency, whilst for mutton there is little inquiry. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report, August s:—Lamb: N.Z. prime crossbred lamb, Canterbury, heavy Bd, light 8 7-8 d;. North Island, heavy 7}d, light B}d. Market weak. Demand runs principally on finest qualities. Mutton: N.Z. prime crossbred, fflaaterbury, heavy spl, light 6Jd; North Island, heavy 4fd, light flj. Market weak. Demand runs principally on heavy weights. Australian Frozen meat.—Good average quality crossbred mutton, light 4d. Market weak. Demand poor. DAIBY PRODUCE.
