PROBLEMS OF SEX
NEED OF CHRISTIAN LEAD. DEMAND BY BOYS. AT Y.M.C.A. WORLD CONGRESS. The need af education in matters ef sex was emphasised in a resolution passed by the Y.M.C.A. Conference of youth, at its final session in Finland. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) (Received Sunday, 5.5 p.m.) HELSINGFORS, August 7.—Among the resolutions passed at the final session of the Y.M.GLA. World Conferentee was one whieh offered evidence that boys and young men are grdatly concerned about the sex question. The resolution urges the Y.M.C.A. to impress upon farento the obvious duty giving accurate knowledge to children and to unite with Christian doctors and teachers in finding the beet methods of imparting this iu a Christian setting. Professor Blliot-, summarising the discussions, remarked that the demand -for information on this question had been more insistent than any other. An impressive ceremony marked the conclusion of the Congress. Two hundred and fifty boy delegates assembled with, flags aroun'd a huge bonfire, symbolical of the fire of friendship. National representatives threw offerings on it. Australia contributed wool, Asia, rice; Africa, cotton. Twentyseven representatives then gave brief speeches, after which the boys lit torches and gave the pledge: “I leave this fire with vision of great Christian fellowship, conscious of differences, but resolved to love.”
The ceremony concluded with the recital of the Lord’s Prayer.—(Reuter.)
