Masterton.—Mr R. Brown reported at 9 a.m. yesterday: Barograph, 29.33. Shade temperature: Maximum 61.6, minimum 4.4.2, terrestrial 44.0, bright sunshine 2hrs; rain, 14 points. Solway.—Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 14 points of rain were registered at Solway for the 24 hours up till 9 o’clock yesterday morning. Present indications are for west to south-west winds, strong to gale afid changeable, squally and colder weather, heavy showers probable in many parts and snow on the higher levels in the south; barometer rising everywhere. Lighting-up time—s.2B p.m.
