PERSONAL.
Lady Marjorie Dalrymple, Dominion Organiser of the Girl Guido Movement, returned to Wellington on Saturday afternoon. Nurses O. T. Pryor and M. P. Galyer, Masterton, were among the successful candidates at the recent State examination for nurses. The friends of Mrs A. C. Purvis Hay will regret to learn that she is serious ly ill at the Glenwood Hospital, Masterton. A formal notification is given in “The Gazette” of the appointment of Mr. R. L. M. Kitto, of Christchurch, as the woolbrokers’ representative upon the New Zealand Wool Committee,, vice Mr A. E. Mabin, resigned. The death occurred in the Masterton Hospital on Saturday, after a long illness, of Miss Jean Davenport, late of Pahiatua and Te Rehuuga, Hawkes Bay. Mrs J. Barr and Mrs Fred Cole, of Masterton, are annts of deeeased. The interment will take place at Hamilton. A pleasant function took place at White Rock Station on Thursday, when Mr F. O. Hayeoek, on behalf of the surrounding settlers, made a presentation to Mrs J. P. Binder, wife of the station manager, who is going to reside at Featherston for the schooling of the family. Much appreciation <« expressed of the kindness and hospitality of both Mr and Mrs Binder.
