BOY SCOUTS.
ST. MATTHEW’S TROOP. INSPECTED BY LADY DALRYMPLE On Saturday morning Lady Marjorie Dalrymple, Dominion Organiser of the Girl (Guide Organisation, inspected the St. Matthew’s Boy Scouts and Cubs. The Scouts paraded under Scoutmaster J. H. Datson and Assistant Scoutmaster Lennox Lamb, and the Cubs under Scoutmistress D. Hubbard and Assistant Scoutmistress R. Robinson, 21 Scouts and 16 Cubs being present. Scoutmaster Datson welcomed Lady Dalrymple and trusted that she would carry away with her a few favourable impressions of her visit to Masterton. Lady Dalrymple, replying, outlined her first connection with the Scout movement, and mentioned some of the games played at Home. The Scout movement was one large chain and all should endeavour to maintain their particular link as strong as possible. She emphasised the necessity for the boys to be keen at their work. Scout games were displayed by tho boys and the Scouts gave a" stirring haka under Patrol-Leader Armitage. The Scouts and Cubs later paraded through Queen Street and made an excellent impression.
