METHODIST CHILDREN’S HOME.

CHRISTMAS AND NlfW YEAR OUTINGS. Through the kindness of friends the children of the Home have had a good time' during the holidays. First there was the splendid, Christmas tree held in the recreation hall at the Home. This gathering was /largely the result of the efforts of Mrs R. Mclvor. By invitation, the children attended the Druids’ Christmas Tree and returned to the Home with an interesting story to tell of the happy time they had spent. Then they were entertained at diimer by the members of the Rotary Club. The dinner, the addresses and the singing filled a very happy hour. and. sent the boys home with pleasant memories .of the Rotarians. Another day the children were entertained at a garden party at the residence of Mrs D> Buchanan, who Bad Mrs H. Williams as partner in giving pleasure to the boys and girl. Though! not convenient for the children to attend a party nt the residence 0$ Mrs P. 'McLaren,. Cole«street, the intending hostess sent a liberaly supply of good things to the Itome. ■ Many friends from near and far have sent cash donations, toys, etc. About three-fourths of all the child ccn have gone to stay at the homes of friends in response to kind invitations and all will return in time for the opening of the schools. This has given the members of the staff an opportunity of taking a much needed rest. Through the kindness of friends all in the Homo have had a ‘‘Mer.y Christmas and a Happy New Yea..”
