WEDDING.
WATERS—BENNETT. An interesting wedding was celebrated at the Whiteley Memorial Church on December 30, when Miss Joyce Evelyn Bennett, youngest daughter of Mr B. Bennett, of New Plymouth, was married to Mr Ernest Ronald Waters, ,eldest son oi Mrs J. Waters, of Masterto'n. The Rev. Cossum officiated. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a dainty dress of cremo crepe-de-chine and georgette, with tho usual veil and orange blossoms. She also carried a beautiful shower bouquet. The bridesmaids, Misses Bessie Dobson and Dorothy Hollins, nieces of the bride, also wore dainty cream dresses and tulle veils, and carried pink and mauve bouquets respectively. Mr J. Curtin (Masterton) was best man. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold wristlet watch, and to the bridesmaids silver wristlet watches.
About 40 guests were entertained the reception, where the usual toasts were duly honoured. The bride ’and bridegroom received, many valuable presents. I’he happy couple left by car for Wanganui, the bride travelling in a cinnamon dress with hat to match.
