Australian. salted 188/ to 190/ (1/8 to 1/8}); other qualities 168/ to 186/ (1/6 to 1/7}); unsalted 190/ to 194/ (1/8} to 1/8}); other qualities 170/ to 186/ (1/6} to 1/7}). Argentine 180/ to 184/ up to 188/ (1/7} to 1/7} to 1/8); other qualities 176/ to 178/ (1/6} to 1/7). Irish salted 196/ (1/8}); unsalted 200/ (1/9}). Siberian 172/ to 178/(1/6} to 1/7); exceptional 180/ (1/7}). Danish 198/ to 200/ (1/8} to 1/9). Cheese.—Market quieter and steady. English finest farmers, firm on short makes; 1«6/ to 130/ (1/1} to 1/2). Canadian coloured and white, 108/ to 110/ (ll}d to lijd). New Zealand, coloured,_loB/ to 110/ (11} to ll}d); white, 109/ to 110/ (ll}d to ll}d). Shipments of New Zealand produce arrived this week per Port Campbell and Corinthic.

Wool. —Salos closed Thursday. Continental demand maintained throughout. Fine merino closed firm 5 per cent above May rates, but other descriptions have barely maintained their position, closing par to 5 per cent below last series. Faulty sorts show full extent of drop. Average rates: 60/64’s (merino) 1/8 to 2/1; 56’s super }-bd 1/7 to 1/9; 48 ’■» fine xbd 1/3 to 1/6; 44/40’s medium xbd 1/2 to 1/4; 36/40’s coarse xbd 1/1 to 1/2 J. 142,000 halos offered of which it is estimated that 112,000 were sold.
