Levin and Co., Ltd., (London) Mar. 20.—The auctions closed here to-day. As compared with the opening rates of this series, we quote.— Greasy merino, best Id per lb dearer, average do., halfbreds, 50/56’s Id lower, xbds 48/50’s 2d lower, 46/48’s Ijd lower, 44/46’s Ud lower, 40/44’s Ijd lower, 36/40’s M. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., (London) Mar. 21.—W00l sales closed active and competition brisk. Belgian, Swiss, French and German buyers are buying more freely. Home trade taking principally crossbred. Greasy merino 3d to 4d lower, scoured 5d to 9d lower, greasy j-bd id to 5d lower, fine xbds 3d to 4d lower, medium and coarse xbds 2jd to 3d lower, scoured xbd 4d to fid lower, slipe fine xbd 3}d to 4d lower, slipe coarse 2}d to 3d lower, lambs 3d to 4d lower. Merino good to super 30d to 33d, low to medium 23d to 29d, J-bd 56/58 good to super 27d to 31|d. N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Ageney Co., Ltd., (London) Mar. 20.—Prices are' lower about 10 to 15 per cent for scoured xbd., scoured Merino, super Merind, lambs, fine and medium greasy xbd and xbd slipe; lower about 10 per cent for xbd lambs and greasy Merino super, and coarse greasy xbd; lower about 15 per cent for medium Merino and lower about 15 te 20 per eent for inferior merino.
