GLADSTONE CLUB. THE ANNUAL MEETING. (‘‘The Age” Special.) The annual meeting was held u. Carterton last evening, Mr A. E. Booth presiding over a good attendance. The annual report stated that the chib had won the senior championship; and had successfully defended the Redmond Cup for the eighth successive year. The balance-sheet disclosed a credit of £35 19s 6d. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr R. Cobper; president, Mr A. E. Booth; vice-presidents, Messrs J. J. Uridge, A. Montgomery, — George, W. Strang, T. Asher, F. Brough, G. Whiteman, P. Clarke, B. R. Rayner, W. Jackson, H. Keltie, F. Sexton, A. Johnson, W. H. Booth, B. Douglas, T. Thompson, J. Johnson, F. Forman, P. Kummer, G. Forman, E. Mason, R. Strang, R. C. Riddell, N. McKay, A. Ross, J. Scott, J. Snell, 6. Harland, J. Goodwin; secretary and treasurer, F Booth; delegates to •W.R.U., Aj, E. Booth, B. Rayner, AIL Johnson and Alex. Johnson; nominations for management committee W.R.U., Messrs A E. Booth and Alf Johnson; senior match committee, Alex. Johnson, E. B. Booth, E. James, G. Moncrieff and F. Booth; junior match committee, G. Sexton, W. King, L. J. Riddell, C. Jensen; third grade committee held over.
Fourteen new members were elected. It was decided to open the season to-day with a practice match. Senior and junior teams were nominated, and a third grade team if the players are available. The subscription was fixed at 7/6 senior, 5/- junior and 2/6 third grade. It was decifled to ask the following coaches to act:—Senior, Mr Alex. Johnson; junior, Mr G. Sexton; third grade, Mr H. Anderson.
