PLAYERS’ EXPENSES CLAUSE.
CAUSES CONSTERNATION AT HOME.
LONDON, Mar. 18—A sensation has been created by the Tennis Asso-. eiation’s drastic action in reference to tournament players ’ expenses. , Helmore, who was recently temporarily suspended in connection with the team he took to Paris last autumn, has now had his suspension extended to the end of the year. All the other players, including Von Braun, Higgs, Jacob and A. H. Fyzee, have received notices intimating that penalties may be inflicted unless they reveal in detail the hotel expenses paid by the Paris Club, and the deposit of their proportion thereof.—(A. and N.Z.)
