ATHLETIC SPORTS.
VISIT OF AUSTRALIANS. A meeting of the Wairarapa SubCentre of the N.Z.A.A.A. was held last night to make final arrangements for the sports on Saturday. Mr W. G. Waterson presided over a representative attendance. The secretary was instructed to thank the Borough Council for the free use of the Park Oval, and to invite the Mayor and Councillors to the sports. , The Masterton Municipal Band advised that . they , would provide the music free.—Decided to provide tea for the band. The secretary’s action in inviting Mr C. Parsonage (Wellington) to act as megaphonist was approved. It was decided that the Australian and Wellington visitors be ed at a picnic at Wardell’s on Sunday afternoon. Messrs J. Bradbury, A. Evans and E. J. Hastwood were appointed a sub-commit tec to make arrangements. - It was decided to send special invitations to Wairarapa’s All Blacks, I. H. Harvey and Q. Donald, to be the guests of the Sub-centre at the meeting. The sale ef programmes was left to Mr J. Bradbury.
