INFANTILE PARALYSIS.
REPORTS YESTERDAY. NO CASES IN MASTERTON. No cases of infantile paralysis were notified in Masterton yesterday. There were 15 notifications throughout the Deminion. A woman from Motueka died in the Nelson Hospital. No fresh eases have been reported at Timw/u since Sunday. An Auckland Experiment. AUCKLAND, Mar. 18.—The Auckland Hospital Board has accepted an offer by Dr. T-uikes, a registered medical practitioner from North Auckland, to cure cases of infantile paralysis in the Auckland (hospital. Dr. Dukes has claimed remarkable results. His work will be supervised by Dr, Kei(th Macky, Dr. Gunson and Mr Millsom, chairman of the Board, who said he was satisfied with the work in the hospital and the wholehearted toil of the doctors and nurses. He was not dissatisfied but wanted to put a spoke in the wheels of the insistent claims that this or that man had a cure. —(PA.) , School Holidays. WELLINGTON, Mar. 18.—The Wellington Education Board decided today that it be a recommendation that should the schools not reopen before Easter, the May term holidays should not be held this year.— (PA.)
