Mr W. Darvill was elected a life member of the Masterton FootbaU (Hub last night.

Mr H. D. Grocott, who was for many years chief postmaster at Wellington, is on a visit to Pahiatua. Mr T. T. Hugo, Fire Inspector, was visiting Masterton yesterday on Fire Board business.

Mr 8. H. Conder, of Masterton, left yesterday for Taihape to take over the management of a clothing and mercery business. It is officially announced, says a London cable, that the King and Queen will journey to Genoa on Thursday to embark on the xvoyal yacht. /

A vote of condolence to the relatives of the late Mr G, H. Innes, a vice-president of the club, was passed last night at the annual meeting of the Masterton Football Club.
