METEOROLOGICAL.
Present indications are for variable winds, but moderate to strong northerlies to westerlies prevailing soon and freshening southwards of New Plymouth and Napier; weather fair and warmer, but haze and cloudiness increasing generally for change to follow shortly; barometer has falling tendency. Masterton.—Mr R. Brown reported at 9 a.m. yesterday:—Barograph 29.88, fairly steady; shade temperature, maximum 69.6, minimum 51.6, terrestrial 43.8, rain 1 point, bright sunshine shrs lOmin.
