AMUSEMENTS.

COSY DE LUXE. GOOD PROGRAMME—TO-NIGHT. Showing this evening again for the last time is a notable First National programme headed by the entertaining production ' ‘ Temporary Marriage. ” It is a fine sterling presentation of the sort of problems that are being faced in so many homes throughout the Country at the present time, and is constructed in such a sincere manner and with such genuine treatment as to be eompellingly fascinating. It is a story which stimulates the imagination, and carries a normal value. It is sure to fascinate every spectator who sees it. A cast of unusual excellence portrays the characters together with a carefully selected number of supporting features. OPERA HOUSE. TO-NIGHT’S NOVEL PROGRAMME Before a large appreciative audience at the Opera House last evening was enacted a most novel and entertaining “programme,” a prominent feature of which was the testing-out under modern studio conditions of a number of aspirants for screen honours. Undoubtedly, a fine galaxy of undeveloped histrionic tnlent assembled on the stage to be “put through the steps,” Although it is questionable whether Masterton possesses any Norma Talmadge’a or Corinnne Griffiths “blushing unseen’’ yet it is well within the bounds of possibility that some definite engagements may come the way of local aspirants. A most appreciative audience voted the proceedings most excellent from the viewpoint of entertainment, and derived much enjoyment. It also gives a most interesting insight into pre-sent-day methods of the motion picture world. '* l The Law Forbids, ’ ’ a really fine dramatic photoplay, together with an excellent number of supporting features, was also presented in the evening’s programme which will be shown in its entirety again to-night. Intending patrons are advised to be in attendance early as another large following is anticipated.
